Designed for youth, explore the art of storytelling through song in this engaging workshop led by Niki Strauss from Pink Flamingo Studios. Designed for contemporary, jazz, and musical theatre singers, this session invites participants to work collaboratively on chosen pieces, applying techniques that enhance your skills as a vocalist, storyteller and performer. A seasoned vocal coach with extensive stage experience, Niki will guide you in uncovering the narrative elements of your songs in a supportive environment.
About the coach
Niki is a dedicated vocal coach, singing teacher, and vocal director based in Albury. She leads workshops at Pink Flamingo Studios and collaborates with the Sharyn Hill School of Performing Arts. With a rich performance background, Niki has taken on various roles, including Cosette in Les Misérables, as an ensemble member in Chicago and CATS, and as the Killer Queen in We Will Rock You. Her versatility shines through in productions like Kinky Boots, The Addams Family, and War of the Worlds.
Niki is also a member of the vocal quartet Nothin' But Treble, and has performed at notable events like the Albury and Wodonga Carols. Niki is passionate about nurturing the next generation of performers and helping them discover their unique voice.
About the day
- Please bring along your own lunch, snacks and a drink bottle. There are water refill stations available in the venue.
- Wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move around in.

- Parents and family are welcome to come and watch the free showcase performance at 3pm each day.
